Pressing Laundered Fabrics
I am assuming you have laundered fabrics and they are damp dry.- Use hot iron.
- Use steam.
- I use Magic Sizing to put some sizing back in the fabrics.
I spray sizing and then press dry by moving the iron on the Lengthwise grain of the fabric. This keeps the fabric from stretching on the cross grain. The length grain does not have as much stretch as the cross. When fabric is damp you run the risk of stretching it out by moving the iron along the cross grain (length of the ironing board)!
